This collection of contemporary landscape photography examines the relationship of nature in an urban environment. The natural landscape and our presence in it are constantly changing and evolving, receding or expanding. Whichever the case we don't always recognize or anticipate the results.

Modern horizons are a merging of the urban and the natural, revealing the intersection where the two meet, overlap or even diverge. The photographs aren't meant to be an environmental commentary on our ever-expanding carbon footprint or a statement on nature winning in the end (even though it might). Instead the photos are meant to look at the scenic merger between us and the earth, what was once, what is and what will be.
